The Brazilian star dodged questions about his health in a press conference on June 8. However, Hai Phong Cement’s coach Vuong Tien Dung stated that Denilson would play in a Hai Phong Cement jersey on June 21 against Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

Denilson asked Hai Phong Cement to organise the press conference about his health. “I can only say that I’m in the process of treatment. My injury is recovering quickly and my doctor said that I can play football within one month. Hai Phong knew about my injury before we signed the contract and we believe that everything will be good for both sides,” he said.

“I don’t care about information about my injuries. I also don’t believe in any conclusion about my health except for my own doctor. I and he are the people who know about the situation. I can affirm that the injury is not too serious. My doctor said I can play football within a month and I believe in him. I cannot assert when I will return, perhaps one month, perhaps less than one month,” Denilson said.

He didn’t allow his doctor to answer the media’s questions.

Meanwhile, coach Vuong Tien Dung emphasised that Denilson would play for Hai Phong on June 21 in the match against Hoang Anh Gia Lai at Lach Tray Stadium in Hai Phong. The Brazilian star can practice with his team as of June 15.

However, Denilson said that that was the idea of Dung and the coach has to take responsibility for his statement. He reiterated that he only believes in his own doctor and wouldn’t confirm the time of his appearance.

The super star understood that his absence at the match on June 6 disappointed Hai Phong fans. “I would like to thank fans who have created a wonderful atmosphere. I want to repay them. But please be patient! I’ll play for you. With my ability, I can bring you wonderful matches,” he said.

Denilson said that it was a loss for him to not play for Hai Phong because besides $20,000 of monthly pay, his income depends on his playing time.
