The constructions of sport projects for the 2009 Asian Indoor Games III is in the final stage and will be finished before July 30.

In June, the roof and electrical installation for the indoor athletics centre will be finished. The projects under the purview of the City’s municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism including the Trinh Hoai Duc, Ha Dong and Quan Ngua Sport Complexes, and other facilities in Cau Giay, Hoang Mai, Tu Liem, Soc Son and Gia Lam districts will be finished by the end of July.

According to the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee, the capital is well prepared for the opening and closing ceremonies of the event.

The 2009 Asian Indoor Games III will see the participation of delegations from 45 countries and territories. The athletes will compete in 23 official sport events for prizes and one performance event. In addition to Hanoi, the Games will also be hosted in Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh.
