Dung was one of the seven best golfers out of 144 competitors at the tournament to qualify for this August’s Asian final in Australia.

The Asian final winner will take part in the World Final in Stuttgart, Germany this September.

At the Ladies National Championships in Da Lat city early this month, the Song Be golf club-based player finished third after two round with 256.

The Mercedes-Benz tournament is Viet Nam’s largest golf competition, with qualifying rounds at the club and country levels which lead up to international events at the regional and world levels.

Scavi Rocheteau to seek links with Saint Etienne

The youth football training centre, Scavi-Rocheteau, intends to seek future co-operation with French Ligue 1’s Saint-Etienne.

Dominique Rocheteau, former French footballer and a representative from Saint Etienne, will watch a friendly match between Scavi-Rocheteau and the Vinh Long youth team in HCM City on Saturday.

The Scavi Rocheteau Centre was established at HCM City’s Thanh Long Sports Centre by the HCM City Football Federation, the French Scavi Company and Rocheteau to offer quality training courses for young local footballers in the southern provinces.
