Coach Trieu Quang Ha may be replaced by Nguyen Van Tien.

The local Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the recent decline of the team to the provincial government at a meeting on June 22.

Based on the report, the local Party Committee is going to hold a meeting on June 24 to consider the situation before making a decision to claim back the team from sponsor Cong Thanh Cement Company or not.

“It is highly possible that we will take the team back before it becomes too late. The team needs a clear plan for development and the top priority is staying in V-League,” said Thanh Hoa’s vice chairman Vuong Van Viet.

Cong Thanh Cement Company can still have a connection with the team, but simply as a sponsor, not a manager.

Thanh Hoa authorities also plan to invite coach Nguyen Van Tien to replace Trieu Quang Ha.

Thanh Hoa has had three consecutive losing matches in V-League 2009 and is now at the bottom of the list.
