The Vietnamese women’s Sepak Takraw team proudly display their gold medals at the 15th Asian Games in Doha in 2006.

Vietnamese women took the team gold medal at the World Sepak Takraw Championships 2009 which ended in Malaysia on Sunday.

Luu Thi Thanh, Nguyen Hai Thao and Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, who won the gold medal at the 15th ASIAD in 2006, defeated Thailand 2-1 before crushing Indonesia and host Malaysia to grab the gold.

Vietnamese women also bagged two silver medals in the women’s doubles and team categories while the male athletes took silver in the men’s doubles category.
