The Brazilian football star said goodbye to Hai Phong not only because of his injury but controversy over salary, according to his doctor.

On June 22, Denilson’s representative, who is also his elder son, continued asking Hai Phong to pay $15,000 but Hai Phong refused. In the afternoon on June 22, Denilson’s representative announced that if Hai Phong didn’t satisfy their request, the Brazilian star would leave Vietnam.

Hai Phong still held their viewpoint: paying $20,000 per month, plus pay for each minute on the field. The negotiation failed and the two sides agreed to liquidate the 3-month contract after only 21 days.

According to the representative, the conflict between Denilson and Hai Phong could have prolonged if Hai Phong hadn’t paid the $15,000. However, before Denilson left Vietnam, Hai Phong paid him the $15,000.
