Twelve local and two teams from Malaysia and Kazakhstan will race for the championship of the National Open Women’s Cycling Tournament from July 12-18.

The participants are: Agifish An Giang, two teams from the Water Supply and Drainage Company of Binh Duong province, Can Tho, two teams from Domesco Dong Thap, Hoa Binh, Hanoi, Son La, Saigon Pesticide, School for Sports Talents of An Giang province, HCM City, Malaysia and Kazakhstan.

Female cyclists will compete in seven stages, totalling 518 km through nine southwestern provinces: Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Soc Trang, Hau Giang, Kien Giang and An Giang.

Total prize money is over 130 million dong (nearly $6,000).

The tour is being co-organised by the Radio and Television Broadcasting Station of An Giang Province and the Vietnam Motorbike and Bicycle Federation.
