Vu Nhu Thanh, the central fullback of last year’s V-League champion side, Binh Duong, has been transferred to the newly promoted leagur club, Ninh Binh, for around VND4 billion (US$225,000).

Thanh’s transfer won’t be as high as the VND8.5 billion ($477,000) reported by some sources, Dai stressed.

Thanh won the 2008 Silver Ball title after his flawless defense in the 2008 ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup final helped win Vietnam’s first championship after 49 years and made him a hero.

Regarding other transfers, some sources also said Ninh Binh would buy striker Viet Thang of Dong Tam Long An for VND6 billion ($337,000). But Dai said they are still discussing it and nothing is certain yet.

Dai also said Ninh Binh wants to get back Timothy Anjembe from Dong Thap but they have still not agreed on the price.
