The organizers of the third Asian Indoor Games have selected Duong Truong Thien Ly, the favourite candidate at the 2008 Miss World contest, as an ambassador to the games.

Thien Ly was chosen not only for her beauty but also because of her passion for sports. She often participates in tennis, swimming and golf. She is also good at foreign languages and boasts a considerable knowledge of the history and culture of Vietnam as well as other Asian countries.

The runner-up at the Miss Vietnam Universe pageant will appear in various activities to promote the games. She will also represent the organizers in fielding the questions from the press about this year’s games.

The third Asian Indoor Games will take place in six cities and provinces of Vietnam from October 30 to November 11, attracting more than 20,000 officials, coaches, athletes, referees, and reporters from 45 nations and territories in Asia.
