Vietnamese team goes to fifth Para Games

| The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent a Vietnamese team of 121 to compete in the fifth ASEAN Para Games in Malaysia from August 5-18.
Ninety-one athletes were selected at the National Para Games held in the central province Quang Tri last May and have been training in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City since July 2. The Vietnamese athletes will compete in 6 out of 11 events at the Para Games including athletics, swimming, table tennis, badminton, weight lifting and chess. They are expected to come in the top three of the medal tally. However, this will not be easy. The ASEAN Para Games 5 will officially kick off in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on August 12 with 11 member countries taking part. VietNamNet/VOV |
