The 2009 VTV International Women’s Volleyball Tournament will be held at Dak Lak provincial gymnasium from August 15-22.

Vietnam national volleyball team will compete with strong rivals at the VTV Cup.

The event draw the participation of four international teams including two youth teams from Thailand, Guangdong(China) and two national teams of Ukraine, Australia.

Two Vietnamese representatives to compete at the tournament are the Vietnam national women’s volleyball team and the national defending champions, VTV Binh Dien-Long An.

According the Organising Board, the international teams will send their best players to the tournament while the two Vietnamese teams will also have key players to participate in the event.

This is also a good test for the Vietnam national team in preparation for the Southeast Asian Games in Laos at the end of year.
