Vietnamese football club Binh Duong were held a 2-2 by Thailand’s Chonburi in the first leg of the 2009 AFC Cup’s quarterfinal in Bangkok on September 15.

Quang Thanh opened the scoring for Binh Duong in the 16th minute. Six minutes later, Pipob’s equaliser put the match to the starting point. The guests took the lead once again in the 23rd minute with a goal by Vu Phong. However, Binh Duong slipped their win in the 68th minute as Arthit levelled the score for Chonburi.

With this 2-2 draw, Binh Duong will have some advantage as they take on Chonburi in the second leg at Go Dau stadium on September 30.
