LookAtVietnam – The team won the championship of the national U21 football tournament for the second consecutive time on September 27, after 4-2 penalty shootouts against Binh Duong.

The final match took place during the rain, hindering footballers’ performances.

With the home audience’s support, Binh Duong hoped to win the champion cup. Danang also sought to defend its title from last year.

The match ended without any goal and the winner was decided by penalty shootouts.

Danang was successful in the shootouts, thanks to its excellent goalkeeper, Xuan Nam. He broke the penalty kicks by Binh Duong’s Cong Huy and Duc Giang to achieve a 4-2 victory.

Xuan Nam was honored as the tournament’s best goalkeeper, while Captain Pham Nguyen Sa was named best player and striker Truong Cong Thao was voted as best scorer.

Danang has enjoyed a successful 2009. Not only has the main team won the V-League 2009 championship just over one month ago, now the young team has won the young football championship.
