Twenty-three players of the national women football squad began their 10-day training session in Tam Dao highland resort on September 17.

They will be tested on warm-up exercises to increase their physical endurance and the ability to score goals.

They will then return to Ha Nam province – a gateway to Hanoi – for training until October 10. The players will play three friendly games, including one against their tough Thai rivals at an international football tournament to be held in the north-eastern province of Quang Ninh from October 16-23.

They will fly to Japan for training again from November 1-8 before heading for Laos for official competitions beginning on December 1.
