Vietnamese-American halfback Lee Nguyen of Hoang Anh Gia Lai arrived at the headquarters of the world famous football club Arsenal on September 15 for a 3-week training course.

Lee Nguyen is staying in the Arsenal Villa Hotel, a high-class building for newcomers and players with contracts of under one year with Arsenal. Lee Nguyen said everything there is wonderful.

Steve Morrow, Arsenal’s technical manager, introduced Lee Nguyen to other members of Arsenal.

After one day off, Hoang Anh Gia Lai’s halfback star was scheduled to practice with the second team of Arsenal.

This weekend, he and the second team will watch the match between Arsenal’s first team against Wigan club at Arsenal’s home stadium.

According to the initial plan, Lee Nguyen was to stay for four weeks in the UK, but Hoang Anh Gia Lai will convene on October 10 to prepare for a tournament in Phuket, Thailand, so he will practice for only three weeks with Arsenal.

The trip to the UK is part of the contract between Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Lee Nguyen. The club promised to send the Vietnamese-American player to Europe for training after the close of V-League.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai also reached a deal with Arsenal to send players to practice with this famous football club.

Previously, the club announced that Lee Nguyen would go to the UK with Thai halfback Thonglao, but Thonglao is not scheduled to go to the UK at present.
