Nghe An and The Cong ended their match one-all, as did the army club and bottom-placed Hanoi ACB.

In its clash against Fourth Military Zone in the final group match on Sunday, T&T Hanoi needs a win to guarantee a place in the quarterfinals.

Nghe An can only advance if it beats Hanoi ACB and Fourth Military Zone draws with T&T Hanoi.

If the army club beats T&T Hanoi, Nghe An must beat Hanoi ACB by a greater margin to top the group.

Four of the group winners have already been decided: Group D hosts Khanh Hoa, Group C hosts Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Group F hosts Tien Giang and Ho Chi Minh City in Group E.

The quarterfinals of the Thanh Nien-sponsored U21 National Football Tournament begin on September 17 and will be held at Go Dau Stadium and joined by hosts Binh Duong and defending champions Da Nang.

After the final on September 27, the best players will be picked to represent Vietnam against Iran, China, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia in the U21 International Football Tournament in October, also in Binh Duong and again sponsored by Thanh Nien.
