Non-cooperation is a fact that Vietnam’s top striker Le Cong Vinh will have to overcome to win a position on the Portuguese club Leixoes.

According to the club’s coach Mota, Cong Vinh quickly integrated into the team though he was not allowed to play in the Portuguese championships.

“He is a professional player, who knows how to behave and show his talents. I’m proud to work with such players,” the coach said.

The local media and fans of Leixoes also have made good comments about the Vietnamese striker since he scored two goals in two friendly matches for Leixoes.

Nevertheless, according to Cong Vinh, his new teammates are not very friendly to him. In initial days, they were willing to help the Vietnamese striker but after he scored two goals and was praised, they seemed to change their attitude.

The striker added that now it seems that his Portuguese teammates don’t want to give the ball to him during drills and he has to work hard to get the ball.

However, coach Mota still has made good comments about Cong Vinh. “I’m satisfied with Vinh’s sense of work. He is capable of competing for a position among strikers in Leixoes. I see that Cong Vinh is longing to show his talent but we need to further verify,” he said.

Cong Vinh said he didn’t pay much attention to the non-cooperation of his teammates because he considered it an inevitable difficulty that all newcomers had to face.

His goal has not changed: winning a position with Leixoes.
