The friendly football tour, Masters Viet Nam, is being organised by the Viet Nam Football Federation and DC media company. The game will bring former stars from Manchester United and Liverpool to Viet Nam to compete with Vietnamese ex-players at My Dinh National Stadium on November 19-20.

The Masters football tour, which debuted in 1998, has drawn retired players from famous clubs in the English Premiership to compete in friendlies.

According to organisers, the former Manchester players include striker Andy Cole, winger Andrei Kanchelskis, Clayton Blackmore, Vivian Anderson, David May and Jesper Blomwist.

Veterans from Liverpool will include Jason Wynne McArteer, John Barners and Don Hutchison.

Adam Craig, representative of Masters football in England said they will look for ex-stars like Ian James Rush, Stanley Collymore and Dwight Yorke to join in the adventure in Viet Nam.

As scheduled, the veterans from Liverpool and Manchester United will arrive at Ha Noi’s Noi Bai Airport on November 18.

Man U will play against a team of Vietnamese ex-players on November 19 and Liverpool’s veterans will then play against the host team the following day.

Earlier this year, the Viet Nam Football Federation had failed to lure Manchester United to play in Viet Nam during their Asian tour.
