Andy Cole wins the Euro Champions League 1999 with Manchester United

Former players of Liverpool and Manchester United including champions of the Euro Champions League 1999 like Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke will play former Vietnamese stars in friendly next month.

Media company DC said on Friday that five former players of the English Premier League clubs Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Bryan Robson, Ian Rush and John Barners have accepted the invitation from the company and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Chief of DC’s representative office Do Thuy Hoai said the former stars of Liverpool and Manchester United would land at Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport on November 18.

The company will hold a press conference on November 19, Hoai said. Former Vietnamese stars will play Manchester United’s veterans the same day at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi before playing Liverpool’s former stars the next day.

Each match will last 80 minutes.

DC has reportedly paid US$350,000 to get the former stars of the Premier League clubs to play in Vietnam.
