Vietnam finished third behind champions Singapore and runners-up South Korean students at the Ho Chi Minh City Cup that ended on Saturday.

Singapore won the title after 1-0 and 4-2 wins over South Korea and Turkmenistan and a draw with Vietnam.

South Korea lost to Singapore in the opener but beat Vietnam and then Turkmenistan 8-6 on the final day to claim the second place.

Defending champs Turkmenistan finished at the bottom after losing all three matches.

Striker Alexandre Duric of Singapore was chosen the Best Player of the tournament and Vietnam’s Hong Son the Best Goalkeeper.
