LookAtVietnam – The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has invited coach Henrique Calisto to continue his job with the national football squad because his contract will expire on March 31, 2010.

VFF leaders wanted to negotiate about the new contract early this week but the Portuguese coach said he needs several days for thinking about it. He wanted to discuss about the contract after the VFF Smartdoor Cup, which will close on November 9.

Calisto said he wants to focus on his current responsibility at the national squad and the U23 squad. Meanwhile, it is rumored that T&T Hanoi reached an agreement with Calisto to employ the coach after his contract with the VFF expires.

If Calisto agrees to extend his contract with VFF, the new contract will be over two years and his salary will increase. His current pay is $12,000 per month.

T&T Hanoi has not employed a new coach after coach Nguyen Huu Thang left to Song Lam Nghe An. Coach assistant Van Sy Son temporarily leads the team.
