The 10th edition of the Number One BTV Cup wrapped up on Sunday with Brazilian club Duque de Caxias emerging victorious, beating Dong Tam Long An 2-1 in the final.

Brazil’s second-tier club proved too strong for the V-League side. The victory didn’t come as a surprise because Caxias had beaten DTLA 3-0 in the group stages.

Leandro Cruz Oliveira scored the opener for the Brazilian side in five minutes; and then DTLA players lost their heads. They played tough and received a total of eight yellow cards.

After Quoc Huan was given the second yellow card in the 68th minute, the DTLA game only got worse; and Caxias capitalized. Striker Des Jesus doubled the score just nine minutes later.

DTLA tried hard to score and Charles Obi pulled one goal back for DTLA eight minutes from full time.

In the fight for the third place at the international event, Hai Phong Cement beat hosts Binh Duong 3-1.

The “Fair Play” award went to Duque de Caxias and the “Best Goalkeeper” award went to its goalkeeper Neto.

DTLA striker Antonio Carlos won the Best Player and Best Scorer awards. He scored four goals at the tournament.
