Vietnamâs top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has moved into the second round of the Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Open Super Series. | |||||||
| Ranked eighth in the world, Minh beat 30th-ranked Indonesian Tedijono Andre Kurniawan 21-16, 21-15 on Wednesday in the first round of the US$250,000 event. He will next meet 28th-ranked Hashim Muhammad Hafiz of Malaysia, who can prove a tough opponent, although Minh defeated him in the semifinals of the YONEX Chinese Taipei Gold Grand Prix in August. Minh went on to win that title, beating Malaysiaâs Wong Choong Hann 21-11, 21-14 in the final. Source: SGGP | |||||||
