Vietnam’s badminton hope Nguyen Tien Minh has bowed out of the Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Open Super Series.

Despite the defeat, Minh, the only Vietnamese in the world’s top 100, is unlikely to drop out of the world’s top 10.

Other big names like 9^th-ranked Indonesian Kuncoro Dwi Sony, 10^th-ranked Thai Ponsana Boonsak, 11^th-ranked Chinese Chen Long and 13^th-ranked Malaysian Wong Choong Hann have all crashed out of the tournament as well.
