Despite a sub-par show, Vietnamâs Under-23 squad took a 1-0 win over Singapore in the opener of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Cup at My Dinh Stadium on Thursday. | |||||||
| Though they won the match, the home side often looked confused and made more than a few excruciating mistakes. Singapore counterattacked on the Vietnamese follies and tallied more ball possession time, but failed to convert several chances. Striker Thanh Binhâs first half goal was the gameâs only real excitement.
