Cyclists take the 7th gold medal for Vietnam

This morning, December 11, Vietnam’s Nguyen Thanh Dam won the gold medal in women’s cycling.

Reaching 17.89km/hour, she finished the 28.4km of road in 1.35.15 hours. A Thai cyclist came second at 1.38.57 hours and a Malaysian ranked third with 1.40.28 hours.

Also this morning, the women’s shooting team including Dang Le Ngoc Mai, Pham Thi Ha and Bui Thuy Hanh received a silver medal in the women’s 10m air gun event. The Thai team won the gold medal.

Dam Thi Nga also won a bronze medal in women’s 50m rifle.

The men’s team took a silver medal in 10m air gun category, ranking behind Singapore.

Weightlifter Nguyen Manh Thang obtained the silver medal in men’s 62kg category. Indonesia’s Irawan Eko Yuli won the gold medal and a Thai weight lifter took silver.
