The triumph of Vietnamese football players in the match against Malaysia on Sunday led the Football Federation’s Chairman Nguyen Trong Hy said that this victory is due to Coach Calisto.

VFF’s Chairman Nguyen Trong Hy congratulated goalkeeper Tan Truong.

“This was a significant match necessary for Vietnam to enter the finals. Without this victory, we would face many difficulties,” observed Hy after the match.

“Before the match, I believed that Vietnam would defeat Malaysia. The team played very carefully to ensure victory. Coach Calisto understands his players more than we do. He did his best and attained this victory!” he said.

Hy said that players will receive a bonus when the SEA Games end.

Trong Hoang, Thanh Binh and Tien Thanh scored a goal each in the match against Malaysia. Thanks to this win, Vietnam moves one step closer to the semi-finals.
