NaviBank Cup 2010 to kick off in HCM City

| Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF) will host the NaviBank Cup 2010 from January 4-13 at the cityâs Thong Nhat Stadium. | |
Seven local teams and one from South Koreaâs Chung Ang University will compete in the annual competitionâs latest edition. Host team NaviBank (former the Fourth Military Zone team) will clash with Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa and Dong Thap in Group A, while Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Nam Dinh, HCMC Club and the South Korean team will battle it out in Group B for a berth in the semifinals. Most of the local teams at the event consider it a good chance to test their players, especially new footballers from abroad, to prepare for the 2010 football season. The contest regulations allow each team can use their foreign players at any time in a game. Khanh Hoa, for example, has registered for 10 foreign players for the contest.
