Representatives of the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) and the WSG Group, which holds the commercial rights of AFF Cup 2010, say they may hold the draw in Vietnam.

They made a survey of two stadiums in Hanoi, Hang Day and My Dinh and met with the Vietnam Football Federation’s VFF earlier this week.

The representatives said they are satisfied with the My Dinh National Stadium but they asked VFF to upgrade the Hang Day Stadium, which is located in the city’s hub to meet international standards in terms of health, hygiene and a press centre, etc.

The idea of organizing the draw in Vietnam will be considered at the annual meeting of the AFF on February 6.

The ceremony is scheduled in July, after the qualifying rounds close in order to choose eight teams for the finals.
