Vietnamâs best badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh was knocked out of the Victor Korea Super Series after losing 0-2 to Chen Jin at the quarterfinals in Seoul on Friday. | |||||||
Chinaâs number two and the worldâs number-five beat Minh, ranked 11th in the world, 21-7 in the first set. Despite an all-out effort in the second set, Minh fared little better and lost 19-21. The defeat will make it difficult for Vietnamâs badminton hero to reenter the worldâs top 10. The only Vietnamese badminton player to enter the worldâs top 100, Minh moved to seventh place in the world menâs rankings in October, 2009.
