Vietnam Football Federation Chair Nguyen Trong Hy reported that the national women’s football team will have a new Vietnamese coach to replace Coach Chen Yun Fat.

Chinese coach says goodbye to women’s football team

After the Chinese coach left Vietnam, VFF has sought a temporary replacement. Among several candidates, Chen Yun Fat’s assistant, Vu Ba Dong, and the chief coach of Ha Noi Trang An football club were the most prominent candidates.

VFF has appointed Vu Ba Dong and the team will also have three assistants, including Kim Hong from HCM City Club, Doan Minh Hai from the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Club and Tranh Thi Bich Hanh from VFF’s women’s football division.

“I believe that Coach Vu Ba Dong will do well in the job after Chen Yun Fat’s return to China. If Fat can deal with his personal affairs with the Dailen Football Federation, he may return to Vietnam in early 2011,” Hy revealed.

The women’s football squad will convene for the first time this year on April 5 in Hanoi. The team will have a training trip in China from May 9-18. From May 19-30, the women will participate in the final round of the Asian Women’s Football Tournament in China.
