There was no international match in March 2010 and the Vietnamese national football squad lost five grades to rank 119th on FIFA’s list for March 2010, still behind Thailand in Southeast Asia.

Coach Henrique Calisto’s team lost five grades on FIFA’s list for March.

Thailand fell by five grades to 104th and other Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Indonesia and Myanmar also went down on the ranking list to stand at the 127th, 138th and 141st positions, respectively.

In Asia, Australia is still the top team (19th, 4 grades up), followed by Japan (45th), South Korea (49th) and Arab Saudi (62nd).

In the world, Spain takes the lead, followed by Brazil, the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Britain, France and Croatia.

In Europe, Norway and Turkey make greatest progress with 9 and 6 grades up to rank at 24th and 35th.

However, Senegal gains up to 97 marks to climb up 22 grades, ranking at the 72nd.

There were 47 international matches in March, including 38 friendly matches and 8 qualifier matches of the Asian Cup 2010.
