After three consecutive losses, HCM City Football Club on April 21 decided to replace Coach Vo Hoang Buu with his assistant, Nguyen Phuc Nguyen Chuong.

The new coach will have two assistants, Nguyen Hong Pham and Ho Van Loi. Chuong will assume his new position as of the tenth round of the First Division tournament.

HCM City club currently ranks 10^th, four points over Dong Nai club at the bottom. Their goal of returning to V-League is very far away, but sports analysts claim that Coach Hoang Buu should not be blamed entirely, as the team lacks good players and has limited funds.

After Hoang Buu was dismissed, some players proclaimed that they wanted to leave the team.

Meanwhile, former coach of Song Lam Nghe An club, Nguyen Van Thinh, agreed to work for Hai Phong club at V-League 2010. Thinh will be the new assistant of Coach Vuong Tien Dung. The former assistant of Henrique Calisto, Mai Duc Chung, already turned down an offer to be Hai Phong’s technical director.

Hai Phong will pay Nguyen Van Thinh 30 million dong per month until the end of V-League 2010.
