Former footballer fined for being impolite

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has announced to ban Da Nang club’s halfback Tran Hai Lam for his impolite behavior in the game against Hoa Phat Hanoi last weekend.
In the early second half in Hanoi’s Hang Day stadium on May 2, when Hoa Phat Hanoi was leading by 2-1, Hai Lam and Hoa Phat Hanoi’s striker Timothy competed for the ball and collided against each other. Hai Lam insulted Timothy and presented his middle finger in his face.
Referees didn’t discover Hai Lam’s impolite act but VFF Disciplinary Board’s officials watched the match on video tape and considered the halfback’s act as very impolite.
The fine on such acts is suspension for two games. However, Hai Lam had been banned from playing football for three years for being involved in the match fixing scandal at the national U23 team and his latest mistake is seen as repeating offence. The fine, therefore, is four matches of suspension.
VFF also imposed 15 million dong fine on Thanh Hoa stadium for not ensuring security for a match last week.
Hoang Danh Ngoc, a young star of Nam Dinh club, was suspended for six matches for the same act with Hai Lam at V-League 2009.
