Without top scorer Cong Vinh, T & T could not created any real chance to score in the first half while Ninh Binh played a defence-attack game.

In a quick counter-attack, Viet Thang scored the opener for Ninh Binh in the 55th minute.

After the goal, T & T brought pressure to bear on the visitors, creating many real chances to score. Their efforts paid off in the 65th minute when T & T were awarded a penalty. Gonzalo’s shot was blocked by goalkeeper Dinh Hoang La but Si Cuong converted the rebound into goal to help T & T level the score.

In the 88th minute, Van Quan’s cross hit Ngoc Lung leg and the ball went into the net.

Having edged Ninh Binh 2-1, T & T returned to the top of the table.

Meanwhile, Hoang Anh Gia Lai trounced hosts Dong Tam Long An 2-0 to avoid the relegation zone. The goals scored by Evaldo in the 77th minute and Quy Suu in the 82nd minute.

Hai Phong beat Dong Thap 1-0, Khanh Hoa defeated Navibank Saigon 4-3 and Song Lam Nghe An won Hoa Phat 2-1. The match between Thanh Hoa and Nam Dinh ended in a 1-1 draw.
