V-League coaches in the hot seat

Resigned coach Vu Quang Bao.

The resignation was immediately approved by the club’s managers. The team will be temporarily led by Assistant Coach Phung Thanh Phuong, with the assistance of technical adviser Pham Huynh Tam Lang, former coach of Saigon Port club.

The predecessor of Navibank Saigon is Military Zone 4 club. This club has been invested highly this year in order to keep a seat at V-League 2011, but they achieved only one victory, 3 draws and 6 losses. They earned 6 points and now rank at the bottom spot.

The pressure from consecutive failures has forced Coach Vu Quang Bao to resign, though he had hoped to stay with the team.

The team is seeking a good coach. It is said that the team will invite Mai Duc Chung, former coach of Binh Duong, who recently refused to work for Hai Phong club as technical director.
