Twelve teams across the country will take part in the 2010 National Futsal Championship scheduled to be held at Phu Tho Gymnasium in Ho Chi Minh City from July 20 to August 1.
This year’s tournament will bring together 12 teams including Binh Thuan, Street Cafe An Giang, Dak Lak, Hoang Thu Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City’s Pham Gia Auto, Tam Nhat Minh, Tan Hiep Hung, Thai Son Bac, Thai Son Nam, Ho Chi Minh City’s District 8 Sport Centre and Da Nang.
The teams will be divided into two groups A and B, competing on a round robin basis to select two top teams in each group qualifying for semi-finals.
A trophy, gold medals and VND 25 million in cash prize will be granted to champions while the runners-up will get silver medals and VND 15 million. The two third placed teams will receive bronze medals and VND 10 million each.
Besides, the individual titles of ’Most Valuable Player’, ’Top Scorer’ and ’Best Goalkeeper’ will also be awarded.
