The two teams started the crucial game with their strongest lines-up. Right after the opening whistle, Hanoi Trang An I sent waves of attack to bear pressure on HCM City’s side. Nguyen Thi Muon helped Hanoi’s team take the lead in the final minute of the first half.

In the second half, it was HCM City’s turn to fight back. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan scored the equaliser for her team in the 63rd minute, before Kim Hong sealed a 2-1 victory for Ho Chi Minh City in the last minute.

This is a sweet success for Ho Chi Minh City, as they have proved their strength during the tournament, topping both the first and the second legs.

Earlier, in another match, Phong Phu Ha Nam easily trounced Thai Nguyen 4-0. However, this win did not help them to improve their position.

As a result, HCM City bagged the championship and Hanoi Trang An I and Vietnam Coal and Minerals ranked second and third respectively. HCM City also won two other prizes: “Most Valuable Player” went to Tran Thi Kim Hong and Doan Thi Kịm Chi was “Top Scorer” with six goals.

Hanoi Trang An II snatched the “Fair-Play” and “Best Goalkeeper” for Duong Thi Khanh Ly.
