Less than one week after two Hai Phong hooligans were sentenced 1 and 2 years in jail, once again Hai Phong football fans created a disturbance at Hanoi’s Hang Day Stadium on July 15. Two were arrested.

The two hooligans at the police station.

Before the game between Hai Phong Cement and Hoa Phat Hanoi, hundreds of mobile police officers were sent to Hang Day Stadium. However, they couldn’t prevent Hai Phong fans from causing disturbance.

They threw flares on the field, insulted police officers and Hoa Phat Hanoi’s fans. Two troublemakers were arrested during the match.

These fans will be punished for disturbing social order.

In related news, Hoa Phat Hanoi was fined 20 million dong for letting fans to burn flares in its home stadium. However, many people didn’t agree with this decision.

According to VFF’s Nguyen Hai Huong, Hai Phong fans can’t be fined in this case because “They are banned from guest stadiums. The ones who threw flares at Hang Day stadium last Sunday were individuals.”

At that match, guards and police officers had to use clubs and tear gas sprayers to keep order.

V-League organizing board also recommended other stadiums take measures to bar Hai Phong fans.
