The central province of Binh Dinh will host the third international festival of Vietnamese traditional martial arts from August 1-4.

About 100 foreign and local martial art troupes, including 1,200 instructors and practitioners, have registered to attend the event.

The festival is part of the activities to celebrate Hanoi’s 1,000^th anniversary.

During the event, an exhibition will be held for the first time to display weapons and martial arts costumes of Vietnam, focusing on Tay Son, a martial arts sect from Binh Dinh.

There will also be a photo exhibition about the people and landscapes of the central and central highland regions.

Attendants will visit six well-known martial arts schools in Binh Dinh province to know how martial arts have been taught and their traditions upheld throughout the years in Vietnam.
