After a humiliating defeat in a match against Khanh Hoa club last week, the third coach of Binh Duong football club Duong Ngoc Hung has stepped down. VietNamNet Bridge – After a humiliating defeat (1-5) in a match against Khanh Hoa club last week, the third coach of Binh Duong football club Duong Ngoc Hung has stepped down.

The club chairman Nguyen Minh Son said that Portuguese coach assistance Luis Morgado Rodrigues would lead the team in the last three rounds of the V-League 2010.

Son said that coach Hung resigned because he couldn’t bear the pressure after the huge failure last week. Binh Duong has created a record they may not be proud of later on: changing four coaches within one season.

In comparison to previous coaches Mai Duc Chung and Dang Tran Chinh, Hung stayed with Binh Duong club for only 20 days and had five matches, including one win, one draw, and three losses.

Binh Duong is a strong team and owns many “stars” such as Vu Phong and Quang Thanh, members of the national squad, outstanding foreign players like Kesley and Philani. Aiming to take the V-League championship, it bought two former V-League best scorers – De Jesus and Amaobi and then the Vietnamese American star Lee Nguyen. Binh Duong is among the top candidates for the V-League 2010 championship.

After the first stage, Binh Duong ranked in the top. However, after Mai Duc Chung was fired, the team began its descent, especially after Hung replaced Dang Tran Chinh.

V-League will close after three matches. Binh Duong has no chance to become the champion. After Binh Duong’s failure last week, the second position now belongs to Hai Phong Cement club.

Binh Duong was the V-League champion for two consecutive years.
