After this trip, the Vietnam U23 team will return to HCM City to take part in the Thang Long Football Cup with U23 Singapore, U23 Malaysia and U23 Iran.

Coach Calisto believed that the game against India would be a chance for U23 Vietnam to practice before the Thang Long Football Cup.

Calisto summoned 31 players for U23 Vietnam to test their qualification before selecting 20 for the Thang Long Cup.

The team will group up at HCM City’s Thanh Long Sports Centre as of September 13. They will go to India on September 14 to play the friendly game.

From September 28 to October 2, they will attend the Thang Long Cup in HCM City with rivals from Singapore, Iran and Malaysia.

Earlier, from September 20-24, the national squad will play against North Korea, U23 Kuwait and U23 Australia in Hanoi under the Thang Long Cup.
