Tennis tournament in Hong Kong, Macau marks Hanoi’s 1,000th birthday

Vietnam’s consulate general in Hong Kong and Macau organised a tennis tournament on September 25 to mark the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.


The event was held in Victoria Park in Hong Kong and drew the participation of Vietnamese representative offices in Hong Kong and Macau and many overseas Vietnamese.

In the men’s doubles, Nguyen Duc Khang (from Vietnam Airlines) and Truong Manh Hung (from the consulate general) won the first prize. Second place went to Phan Thanh Duong (from the Vietnam News Agency) and Dinh Hung Vuong (from the consulate general).

In the men’s and women’s doubles, Nguyen Duc Khang (from Vietnam Airlines) and Nguyen Thi To Anh (from the consulate general) took first place.

The head of Vietnam’s consulate general in Hong Kong and Macau, Pham Cao Phong, said the tournament aimed to strengthen solidarity and mutual assistance in the Vietnamese overseas community and promote the country’s image and people to the world.
