Nearly one year after leaving Vietnam’s national female football team, coach Chen Yun Fat has returned to Vietnam to help the team prepare for the 16th Asian Games (ASIAD).

Nearly one year after leaving Vietnam’s national female football team, coach Chen Yun Fat has returned to Vietnam to help the team prepare for the 16^th Asian Games (ASIAD).

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the General Department of Sports and Physical Training had successfully convinced the Chinese coach to return to Vietnam. On October 2, VFF and Chen Yun Fat signed a contract to 2012.

The coach’s mission is defending Vietnam’s championship at the Southeast Asian Games 2011 and good performance at the 16^th ASIAD in Guangzhou, China. He is also responsible to train young players. He is paid $3,000/month.

The coach has decided to start a “revolution” on the team by allowing senior players like Kim Chi, Dao Thi Mien and Van Thi Thanh to withdraw and recruiting new players.

The team will meet at the National Sport Training Centre in Hanoi from October 8 onward and they will go to China in early November for drills before moving to Guangzhou for the 16^th ASIAD.
