Bodybuilders from the southern province of Dong Nai are flexing their muscles against their peers from 22 clubs nationwide at the 2011 National Bodybuilding Competition that got underway on June 1.

At last year’s edition of the event in the central city of Da Nang, the bodybuilders from An Giang Province finished on top with six gold, four silver and four bronze medals.

They were followed by Ho Chi Minh City with six gold, three silver and two bronze medals while third-placed Binh Duong won three gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Dong Nai sports authorities have invested heavily in the sport recently and are planning to emerge as a leading bodybuilding power in the nation at this event that ends on June 6.
