Quang Hai made a double while trong Hoang and Quoc Anh added the other two to the score sheet.

Seventeen minutes into the game, Vietnam opened the score after an attack launched in the left flank. Vu Phong dribbled pass a rival and smartly made a long pass to the corner of the field to Quang Hai speeding down. Hai received the ball and blasted a shot to cross the box and go into the far low corner of the goal frame.

At the 35th minute, Vietnam doubled the score to fix the first half of the match. Vu Phong set up Thanh Luong in a favorable position to score. Immediately, Laotian goalkeeper Sengphachan rose up to block the attack and treated Luong with a tackle in the box.

Vietnam was awarded a penalty shot and Quang Hai converted it into a goal.

The other two goals were scored by substitutes Trong Hoang and Quoc Anh in the 77th and 79th minutes.

On Sunday, Vietnam will face U-23 South Korea in the last game of the tournament. The Koreans are now topping the tourney after beating Laos 4-1 and Turkmenistan 4-0.
