1.Hue city beef vermicelli

The restaurant that located on 155 Chua Lang Street is the only one selling Hue beef noodle. Although it is not famous and highly appreciated like other restaurants in Quang Trung or Nguyen Thuong Hien, many people choose to eat it here.

There is no many differences between the noodle here and in other places. This dish includes big noodle string,, blood pudding, basil, bean sprouts, and chopped banana inflorescence. It has good smell and good taste with spicy flavor of cinnamon and Hue shrimp paste.

2.”Bún đậu mắm tôm”.

This dish is very familiar to people in Hanoi in general and Chua Lang in private. At noon,, the “bún đậu mắm tôm” restaurant that located in front of  Foreign Trade University is full of people, especially students. It is only 15,000 VND for a dish.
Bean fried is quite crispy, spring rolls are delicious, the noodle is good, shrimp paste has good smell. People who cannot eat shrimp paste can order fish sauce. Moreover, there is pig’s trotter as well, but it is quite pity because there is no “chả cốm” here.

3.Fish gruel, Bac Ninh fish noodle 

One of the dishes make the brand of Chua Lang are fish gruel and Bac Ninh fish noodle. Fish noodle includes crispy fried fish, cabbage and delicious broth. The smell and flavor of these ingredients will give customers unforgettable impression for the first time.

To fish gruel, people will be impressed with soft and delicious pieces of fish and gruel that is cooked well and has special taste of Kinh Bac rice.

There are some restaurants selling these dishes in Chua Lang Street, but almost people often choose the restaurant in alley 84 that is opposite to Foreign trade university.

The price for a bowl of fish gruel or fish noodle is about 20,000 VND. And these dishes are only sold in the evening.


4.Snails and clams 

Snails and clams are now two of favorite seacookings and are sold in the pavements of many streets in Hanoi and Chua Lang. the price is reasonable, it is only 15,000 VND for a bowl of boiled snails and 30,000 VND for a bowl of steamed clams. Therefore, the restaurants in Chua Lang attracts many students.
The most popular restaurant is in 215 Chua Lang. It opens from the nightfall.

5.The nosh

When your stomach is full with salty foods, “hoa quả dầm”, “chè” “nem chua rán” will be wonderful choices if you want to eat more.
It is very easy to see a “chè” store when you walk along the street. Some kinds of delicious “chè” are Saigon chè, varied chè….  A cup of varied fruits in 211 Chua lang is just 10,000 VND. Also, you have more choices with “nem chua rán”, chips, or trứng cút lộn…there.

In addition to the dishes above, there is a lot of noshes that are very cheap like soybean curb, “bò bía”, baked cassava cakes, cane-juice…
 

6.Duck hot pot, Van Dinh grilled duck

In Chua Lang, there are two famous restaurants selling Van Dinh duck with reasonable prices. Therefore, they attract a lot of people in every night. The duck hot pot here is from 150,000 to 300,000VND, depending on size of pot. A grilled  duck is 150,000VND. Moreover, there are many snacks such as duck vermicelli , duck gruel, duck’s blood curds….

 7.The grilled

Coming to Chua Lang in the nightfall, you will feel the smell of the grilled in the whole street.  With reasonable prices, various menu, the grilled is the first choice of people who like eating and chatting at the same time. Grilled brisket is the favorite dish here.

The restaurant selling the grill here has the diversity of  types of grilling. To beef, brisket, bowel or pork side, you will have a cooker to be able to cook by yourself, but chicken legs, chicken wings, or ribs will be grilled by the restaurant staff.
