This is a nosh in the South that comes to Hanoi for many years. It is a crispy fried dish, it also comes with sauce. Therefore, pan cake attracts easily customers in all parts of the country.

A delicious pan cake has to have a crispy aromatic cover that is not too fat. In addition, stuffing of the cake has to have enough ingredients to make customers feel the flavor of the cake but not being tired of eating. The sauce is also important, if it is not tasty, the flavor will be affected.

In Hanoi, telling about pan cake, people will think of Thai Ha street where there is pan cake shop that was famous one-time. However, now if you are a gastronomer, you will know many more interesting addresses. 2. Beef noodle
The south beef noodle also appears in Hanoi for many years and it is one of mixed dishes people in Hanoi like most.

Beef noodle is very cool, enjoying it in the summer or in the winter is ok. The noodle is cool but the beef has to be hot, and has to stir-fry in the hot pan and have the fragrant of garlic. Being famous in Hanoi, it is beef noodle in 47 Tran Quoc Toan. The restaurant was famous for slogan “aromatic – delicious – nutritional – cheap”, a bowl of noodle was only 6,000 – 7,000 dong. However, now, the price is 30,000 dong per bowl. Furthermore, you can go to 66 Hang Dieu, 111 Khuong Thuong or Ta Hien to enjoy the beef noodle.

3. Quail egg

 Quail eggs are sweet, soft, now they are cooked with sour and spicy sauce of tamarind…..

Indeed, this dish is too familiar to young people in Saigon but in Hanoi, there are few restaurants selling quail eggs

4.Gobi hot pot

Gobi hot pot in the South is very popular. This dish attracts customers because of the sweet and sour broth, and “giang” leaf fragrant (the leaf only has in the south of Vietnam), and delicious Gobi. Vegetable that comes with the dish is special, it is crispy banana flower.

If you are in home of Gobi hot pot, the price is very cheap, only 100,000 dong per pot. However, in Hanoi, the price is about 300,000 – 350,000 dong per pot.

There are not many restaurants selling Gobi hot pot in Hanoi, you can go to several restaurants like: Con Duong Dac San (in 99 Nguy Nhu Kon Tum), Lau mam Ba Sau (in 65 Van Cao), Phuong Nam restaurant (in 69 Chua lang)..

5.Broken rice

Some people tell that broken rice in Saigon is like noodle in Hanoi. Indeed, broken rice is in all parts of the country, from the cheap restaurants to luxurious restaurants. Therefore, broken rice is also considered as one of dishes bringing culture of Saigon

One of  first places selling broken rice  and attracting a lot of customers in Hanoi is Thuy Linh restaurant in Trang Thi street. Furthermore, in Hanoi now, there are some other broken rice brand names (22 Phan Chu Trinh, 271 Kim Ma), or Xua broken rice (60 Ly Thuong Kiet street),  other place that is more cheaper is Ta Quang
