The DNA test result answers the mystery that the man who identified himself as Top before he was shot dead in a house raid in Temanggung of Central Java. The police could not confirm that he was Top after the shooting due to the speculation that the JI leader had frequently changed his face.

“The body in the scene in Tumenggung is Ibrahim,” Saparwoko told a press conference.

Ibrahim, a florist at the hotel and was involved in bomb explosions in the JW Marriot and Ritz Carlton hotels in Jakarta on July 17, was killed in a drama of siege by the anti-terror squad as he was suspected as Noordin Top.

The police had taken samples from the body in Temanggung with the family members of Top in Johor Baru of Malaysia, Cilacap and in Klaten of Central Java, in Indonesia.

“All did not match,” he said.

During his escape in Indonesia, Top had married three times which helped him hide.

Saparwoko revealed that the body was Ibrahim as the sample was match with Ibrahim family members.

“It match 100 percent, that means the body is Ibrahim,” he said.

“The war on radicalism is still not over. We are still hunting for Noordin M. Top as he is still dangerous,” police spokesman Nanan Soekarna said.

With help of Ibrahim, bombs could be taken into the hotels, Soekarna said.

The 40-year-old Top are always armed with bombs, partly making him often escape from police ambushes.

Top is the coordinator of Southeast Asia militant network of Jemaah Islamiah who is believed to have links with the recent suicide bombings in two super-tight-security luxurious hotels in Jakarta, in which 9 people were killed and 55 others injured.

He is the police most wanted man as he has been blamed for playing key roles in a series of major deadly explosions in the country, including the churches explosion in 2000, Bali bombings in 2002 and 2005, JW Marriot Hotel blasts in 2003 and Australian Embassy bombings in 2004. Over 260 people were killed in the said bombing attacks.

Experts said that Top has split from the big group of JI and form a splinter group which is believed to be more radical.

Top had conducted his acts along with fellow Malaysian bomb expert Azhari Husein who was killed by police in 2007 in Java.
