Indonesian police chief General said that a DNA test result has confirmed the death of the country’s most wanted terrorist Noordin following fingerprint test.
“Based on the DNA and fingerprint test, there’s no doubt that the terrorist killed in Central Java’s raid last Thursday is Noordin,” said Bambang on Friday. Although the DNA test has completed, the police chief said that Noordin’s body could not be returned home to his family in Malaysia due to further test by police. “His family can’t pick the body now. We have coordinated with Malaysian ambassador and foreign ministry. There would be things that we should check further from documents we found et cetera,” said Bambang. According to him, there’s important information in the documents found in Noordin’s den. Meanwhile, the police’s Densus 88 anti-terror special squad found three genuine last wills from three terrorists who were executed related to Bali bombing in 2002, namely Muklas, Imam Samudra, and Amrozi, in Noordin’s laptop backpack. Police keep continuing their hunt operation against Noordin’s cell members following the raid in Central Java province’s Solo. Police believed that there still are cell members who will continue Noordin’s agenda in Indonesia. The indication of terror continuation, even though Noordin is dead, was things that were written in the last wills by Bali bombing terrorists before being executed in 2008. The letter contained messages to their followers to continue their terror agenda, thing that they considered as a struggle. Noordin and his three accomplices were reportedly killed in a raid by police in Central Java while three others arrested alive on Sept. 17. VietNamNet/Xinhuanet |
